Iran: A Mother and Her Daughter Victimized of Acid Attack

A young woman in Kuhdasht County of Lorestan Province, along with her eight-year-old daughter have been victimized by acid assault according to the governmental news agency IRNA.
The poor women and her little girl victimized of acid throwing by her brother-in-law (her husband's brother) at the evening of Wednesday 24 June 2015. The victims have been reportedly hospitalized in Khoram Abad Nomadic hospital of the province capital city as news agencies said.
The broken women had been allegedly beaten by offensive as the IRNA reporter Mr. Hooshang Badpey declared, but her eyesight has not been seriously trouble as specialists said in their initial checkup, whereas, her face wounded due to the acid impact.
He added that the weary little girl also has been injured and burned in her hands and legs. She was apparently transferred to Motahari hospital in the capital city of Iran, Tehran to carrying the treatment on regarding the news received by BCR Group.
The Resembling Cases in Iran
Recently, the Islamic vigilantes riding on motorbikes had thrown acid in at least four women's faces in the city of Isfahan, but the Medias had put the number as high as eight. The broken victims had been reportedly chosen because they were wearing headscarves or clothing that were revealing or did not adopt to the Islamic norms in Oct 2014.
"Majid Movahedi was previously sentenced in February 2009 to be blinded in both eyes after being convicted of sprinkling acid in the face of university classmate Ameneh Bahrami when she repeatedly spurned his offer of marriage. Bahrami told the ISNA news agency she pardoned her attacker because "God talks about 'Qisas' in the Quran but he also recommends pardon since pardon is greater than 'Qisas'" as Aljazeera news agency declared.
But the experts have an opinion that acid attack is a worldwide phenomenon that is not closed to a particular race, religion or geographical location and it strikes in several countries in the Middle East, South-East Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and the West Indies.
There is no detailed census of acid attacks in the world, but women and children comprised the significant number of the victims according to the superficiality reports.
